A Boy Named Jack (2012-2013)

2012

In 2012, I was a sixth-grader at the John Burroughs Middle School in Los Angeles, California. One day at school, I drew my first ever original cartoon character on a writing paper. The character was named "Frank". He was portrayed as an everyman encountering complicated situations, and sometimes he ends up in victory by foiling his enemies, or being defeated in a humiliating and embarrassing predicament.

Frank began appearing in short comics I created. I made about an estimate of 10 different episodes.

2013

By early 2013, I became unhappy with the "Frank" name for my original character. So, I have decided to change the character's name to make it sound more memorable. Sometime later, I have given the character his final name. And that... is "Jack Millionaire".

I chose "millionaire" as his last name because I defined it in my own definition: "everything in the heart of a person".

I continued the short comic designing run starring Jack, quickly becoming my first original project, titling Jack Millionaire

It follows Jack, an ordinary middle school student facing various predicaments with his fellow peers.

On August 10, I created my second original project. It is a sci-fi slapstick comedy called Little Guys

It follows a trio of humanoid aliens stranded on Earth and must build a rocket to fly back to their home planet while being chased by the FBI, lead by the arrogant and overzealous Captain Carson.

The art style and humor of the project serves as an homage to the slapstick comedy cartoons made in the 1940s, such as Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes

2014

A short novel was written starring Jack Millionaire.

Jack Millionaire: Saving the Neighborhood was written. After completing the story, I think I'm really disappointed with the results, due to its unoriginality and lacking the faithful charm to the characters.

2015

On August 2015, I began high school at the Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools in Los Angeles, California.

The RFK school has six different schools. I attended the Los Angeles High School of the Arts (LAHSA for short).

LAHSA specializes on performing arts like acting, theatre tech and costume designing.

On November 1, Little Guys has been retired.

The project lasted for two years. A conclusion has never been written, leaving the project on a cliffhanger.

2018

During my junior year in high school, I begin to learn the fundamentals of animation, leading me to decide to pursue animation fully.

On early 2018, I began to develop my portfolio and essays for college.

2019

After graduating high school, I got accepted to and attended the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California.

I began my first year on September.
